About Us
The Independence Police Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization created by community stakeholders to support the City of Independence Police Department. We raise funding through private donations and grants for projects, programs, equipment and other needs to assist the department in protecting life, liberty and property within the City of Independence, Missouri.

The Independence Police Foundation partners with the Independence Police Department in providing the best possible service to the community. Public tax dollars support basic personnel and equipment but funds are limited for expensive cutting-edge equipment and technology. The Foundation helps ensure that we have the best tools available to protect you, your families, homes and businesses. When officers experience life-altering events outside the workplace such as serious illness, the Foundation is there to assist the family. Experiencing this community support in a time of need gives officers the peace of mind that allows them to give their best every day despite the inherent risks that come with policing. Thank you to Foundation donors who help make Independence a safer place for all.
